Stela Kadillari (I)

Hi everyone!!!

My name is Stela, I am 21 years old and I am from Italy, near Genoa. I was born and raised in Italy, but I have Albanian origins: both of my parents are Albanian. Growing up between two different cultures has played an important role in my life and in the way I see people and different cultures.

I currently live in Bologna, where I study at the University of Bologna. I am in my third year of a bachelor’s degree in Social and Cultural Education.

I am currently in Tilburg for my Erasmus semester at Fontys University of Applied Sciences, where I am studying Bilingual Education. I chose the Netherlands because I have always found this country very fascinating and interesting. I am also particularly interested in the Dutch education system, as I think the Netherlands is quite advanced in the field of education and I am excited to learn from it and experience it myself.

I will be staying in the Netherlands until the beginning of February, so I am really looking forward to making the most of these months!

In my free time, I love spending time with my friends. I really enjoy going out and simply sharing time together. I also love cooking, and I do it quite often, especially in Bologna. I often organise dinners at my place for my friends and cook a lot for everyone. I really enjoy bringing people together around a table!

During my Erasmus, I hope to improve my English, meet lots of international people and get to know different cultures and ways of life. I think this experience will be a great opportunity not only to study, but also to grow as a person and become more open-minded.

During the semester, I will have classes at Fontys on Mondays and Fridays. On Tuesdays I will be teaching at De Terp and on Thursdays I will be teaching at De Hobbit. Wednesdays and the weekends I will be free, and I would really like to use this time to travel, visit different places and discover as much of the Netherlands and other countries nearby as possible.

I am really looking forward to this experience, meeting new people and learning new things!

Ciao a tutti!!!

Mi chiamo Stela, ho 21 anni e vengo dall’Italia, vicino a Genova. Sono nata e cresciuta in Italia, ma ho origini albanesi: entrambi i miei genitori sono albanesi. Penso che crescere tra due culture diverse abbia avuto un ruolo importante nella mia vita e nel modo in cui vedo le persone e le diverse culture.

Attualmente vivo a Bologna, dove studio all’Università di Bologna. Sono al terzo anno di una laurea triennale in Educatore sociale e culturale.

Attualmente sono qui a Tilburg per il mio semestre Erasmus alla Fontys University of Applied Sciences, dove studio Bilingual Education. Ho scelto i Paesi Bassi perché è sempre stato un Paese che trovo molto affascinante e interessante. Sono anche particolarmente interessata al sistema educativo olandese, perché penso che i Paesi Bassi siano molto avanzati nel campo dell’educazione e sono curiosa ed entusiasta di poterlo conoscere e sperimentare in prima persona.

Rimarrò nei Paesi Bassi fino all’inizio di febbraio, quindi non vedo l’ora di sfruttare al massimo questi mesi!

Nel tempo libero amo passare del tempo con i miei amici. Mi piace molto uscire e semplicemente stare insieme e condividere del tempo con loro. Amo anche cucinare e lo faccio abbastanza spesso, soprattutto a Bologna. Mi piace organizzare delle cene a casa mia per i miei amici e cucinare tanto per tutti. Mi piace molto riunire le persone intorno a una tavola!

Durante il mio Erasmus mi aspetto di migliorare il mio inglese, conoscere tante persone internazionali e scoprire culture e modi di vivere diversi. Penso che questa esperienza sarà una grande opportunità non solo per studiare, ma anche per crescere come persona e diventare ancora più aperta verso il mondo.

Durante il semestre avrò lezione alla Fontys il lunedì e il venerdì. Il martedì e il giovedì sarò nelle scuole a lavorare e a insegnare ai bambini. Il mercoledì e i weekend saranno liberi e vorrei approfittare di questo tempo per viaggiare, visitare posti diversi e scoprire il più possibile i Paesi Bassi e anche gli altri paesi vicini.

Sono davvero felice di vivere questa esperienza, conoscere nuove persone e imparare tante cose nuove!
