Leah Ward (UK)

Hello everyone,

My name is Miss Leah. I am 20 years old, and I come from a small town near Glasgow in Scotland. I am currently in my third year at the University of Glasgow where I am studying to be a primary school teacher.

During my semester in the Netherlands I will be teaching English with Such Fun! on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and taking classes at Fontys University in Tilburg on Mondays and Fridays.

I am really excited for this opportunity and to learn more about Dutch culture and working with children.

I am passionate about the arts including musical theatre and painting.

In my free time I also play netball and go for walks with my dog.

I love to travel and spent last summer working as a counsellor at a summer camp in the U.S.A. where I had the opportunity to work with staff from all over the world.

While in the Netherlands, I hope to explore lots of different places and travel to some of the surrounding countries. I am really looking forward to this new experience and working with Such Fun!

Hallo allemaal,

Ik heet miss Leah, ben 20 jaar en ik kom uit een klein stadje vlakbij Glasgow (Schotland). Ik ben derde jaars student aan de PABO van Glasgow.

Tijdens mijn semester hier in Nederland ga ik op dinsdag. woensdag en donderdag lesgeven op de Such Fun scholen en  heb ik op maandag en vrijdag les op Fontys Flot in Tilburg.

Ik ben heel blij met deze kans en om meer te leren over Nederlandse cultuur en om hier met kinderen te kunnen werken.

Ik ben gek op de kunstvakken, zoals musical en schilderen.

In mijn vrije tijd speel ik graag netbal en maak ik lange wandelingen met mijn hond.

Ik ben gek op reizen en afgelopen zomer was ik groepsleider op een zomerkamp in de VS, waar ik collega’s van over de hele wereld had.

Nu ik in Nederland ben hoop ik er een hoop nieuwe plekken te ontdekken en zal ik ook de omringende landen bezoeken. Ik kijk uit naar deze nieuwe ervaring en om met Such Fun te werken!
