Hi everyone!

I am Miss Ceren, from Türkiye. I am a 21-year-old student who studies Foreign Language Education in Bogazici University in Istanbul. My hobbies are learning languages, reading, painting and playing volleyball.

I chose my major because I’ve always been amazed by languages, and how a person gets to acquire them. I am also interested in linguistics, and in my university in Türkiye, I have the opportunity to combine both of these topics. I got the chance to work with my professors on their research on various fields, which I got a lot of insight from. Also, I have worked with children on one-on-one lessons.

For the next 6 months, I will be participating in Such Fun! Project as an English Language Teacher in a primary school in the Netherlands, which is something I am very excited for. With this internship, I will have the chance to learn about Dutch education system, and how to communicate effectively with children.

I believe that I will have a wonderful semester in here, and I hope that I can be as valuable for this project as it is for me.

Ben Ceren, Boğaziçi Üniversitesi Yabancı Diller Eğitimi bölümünde 3. Sınıf öğrencisiyim ve 21 yaşındayım. İlgi alanlarımdan bazıları yeni diller öğrenmek, kitap okumak, yağlı boya yapmak ve voleybol oynamak.

Bölümümü seçmemin sebebi dillere ve dil öğrenmeye kendimi bildim bileli olan ilgim. Aynı zamanda dilbilimine de büyük bir yatkınlığım var ve Boğaziçi Üniversitesi bu iki alanı birleştirmem için mükemmel bir okul. Geçtiğimiz senelerde farklı alanlarda profesörlerim ile çalışma imkanı buldum, ve bunların beni çok geliştirdiğine inanıyorum. Bunların haricinde öğrencilerle özel dersler vererek çalışma imkanı da buldum.

Önümüzdeki 6 ay bir Erasmus öğrencisi olarak Hollanda’da olacağım, ve bu süreçte Such Fun! Projesinde İngilizce öğretmeni olarak staj yapacağım. Bu sayede Hollanda eğitim sistema ve çocuklarla iletişim hakkında oldukça değerli deneyimler elde edecğime inanıyorum.

Bu dönemin benim için harika geçeceğine inanıyorum, ve umarım bu projeye bana değerli olduğu kadar değerli olabilirim.
